Instead of enjoying social summer nights with people, I watch chick flicks. It's fine.

we all have those times that we wish someone would just tell us what we're supposed to do next. i have felt like that quite a lot lately. i have been kind of freaking out about so many different things lately. this is the time in my life that i wish someone would just tell me all the answers. i'm probably just a complainer but i'm really just not very strong. i'm a struggle as you already know:) but i know i'm not the only one who feels like i need someone to hear me and be there for me. even when i'm around a lot of people i feel like i am very alone. but i am, slowly but surely, learning to trust in my Heavenly Father. i am working on being a better listener and to pay attention to the Holy Ghost because life is way too crazy for me to attempt on my own.

coastin' on a dream

Hello my dear friends! You haven't heard from me in a while, so I'll just give you a rundown of how my life has been the past little while.

These past few months have been a bit of a wild ride for me. I've had some major alterations in my life, and in turn have changed myself quite a bit. My best friend is out of my reach for the next two years; which has been one of the most difficult challenges of my life, but it has also been one of the most rewarding experiences thus far. I have learned more about myself this past month than ever before. I’ve been up, and I’ve been down. I’ve been backwards, sideways, and inside-out. I’m discovering who I am, who I’ve been, and who I’m meant to be. You might be a little confused of why I had to lose the man I love to find the person I really am. A wise person once said, “a picture is worth a thousand words”. So, here’s a few thousand words for you to feast upon while you ponder.

I've discovered really how strong I can be.

I've found joy in the little things.

I've cried in the Lion King musical.

I've pulled really great pranks.

I've laid on the beach and played in the waves.

I've found FUN things to do, in the most boring of places.

I've come closer to Christ, even on the hardest nights.

I've met amazing friends, and seen amazing bands.

I've laughed like never before.

I've snuck in to the Aggie football stadium at midnight, and beat 3 football players at football. 

I've taken risks and accomplished things I never thought possible.

I've cried more passionately than ever before.

I've remembered the good times.

I've discovered new talents.

I've learned to love life, especially my job!

and I've loved him more than ever before.

When life gave me lemons, I made some pretty good freakin' lemonade. God gives us experiences so we can learn about ourselves through our choices. I quote the Black plague when I say "which seat can I take?" I'd like to think she chose the driver's seat. That's the seat I'd take. Where I can watch out the window as the world passes by, but have the ability to steer myself in any direction I choose. Life is beautiful!

I am pleased to announce that I am officially leaving Maxim Healthcare. They've been good to me throughout these LONG 6 months, but it is time to move on from all that stress, on-call, crazy boss, rush hour-ness. Anyways, I am even more pleased to announce that I am working at Los Hermanos with my 2 bestest friends. I am beyond excited:) So anytime you want some delicious mexican food and/or want to see me, michael or ally...stop by. I will gladly embrace you in my soon to be loving latino arms:)

General Conference was probably the bestest thing ever. I might of teared up a bit to Elder Scotts talk on marriage and his loving words about his deceased wife. "It's time to say I love you" I'm excited to get married. SO excited. Not now, i'm too young...but that doesn't stop me from looking at utah bride blog e'ry day.

Lauren and Holly are coming home soon and i'm so ecstatic. This seperation is too much for me to handle! We are going to party like it's 1989 when they get home.

Life is crazy busy and I will most definitely be working close to 60 hours this week plus 4 soccer games. Not to mention squeezing in my desperate housewives and grey's anatomy time. I love me some grey's.

Oh and sometimes, I flat out refuse to do anything at work just because. Today is one of those days. I have been at work since 8 and I've been reading blogs and snacking on gummy bears the whole time. holler to the lazy.

Aww. Isn't that the cutest?

I want to go shopping for shorts and swim suits.

I want to go on hikes and picnics.

I want to roll the windows down in my car, belt out some tunes and dance like a crazy person.

I want to go boating and have tube wars.

I WANT SUMMER.

"The Life Of Leaving Home"

Now I don't need to tell you that we need a vacation.
Everyone already knows that.
But we are getting older and busier everyday.
We have all decided to go on a trip to California over the summer.
So are we gonna make it happen?
Uhh You Bet!

We need a little bit of that extra "umph" to get us completely convinced.

Disneyland: -You know if we are going to California, we have no excuse not to go..

-Who cares about the cost. It's the adventure of a lifetime with all of our best friends.

-It's also good exercise.

-It is the happiest place on earth, besides Disneyworld.

Riverside: -Palm Trees and beautiful sun.

-My wonderful grandparents ;)

-Did I mention they have a Buffalo Wild Wings?

Ahh the beach.

Newport: -The water has been decently warm lately.

-The famous GREAT MEX would be present.

-They have the most amazing bike, surf, and skate shops.

-Also (I have never done this) they have deep sea fishing.

Carlsbad Encinitas: 

-I was researching different beaches and this one is close..ish.

-It has some super pretty water and cliffs.

-I've heard all the surfers go there.

-Which means hot boys.

-The boy I was in love with lives there and he's a super babe.

-It is in the San Diego Area which means we have more to do.

-It is closer to Mexico.

Just ignore him smoking.

He's still Hot.

 

And Finally,

Santa Monica: -An AWESOME! pier.

-Mexicans selling fruit illegally everywhere!!

-The coolest lifeguard stands we can take pictures on.

-The Seagulls steal all of your food.

-About 20 minutes or less from Hollywood.

I really hope that this has convinced you that you really need to start getting AT LEAST a week off from work in the summer because this will be the best vacation you ever had. Save your money girls, we are going to Cali. No flaking allowed!!!
